Giveaway

And the voting continues......
Thanks everyone for participating in our Mug Rug Poll!

Just jumping in here to remind you that the Bloggers Quilt Festival has started. There are already 1400+ quilt photos. Beautiful eyecandy.  Anyone can enter and many prizes to be won.
Here’s what you need to do to participate: (Please read carefully)

1.Write a new post (old posts will be deleted). Share one quilt, and it’s story. Why you made it, why it is special to you, what you learned about quilting/yourself while making it. The quilt doesn’t have to be brand new, never seen before on your blog – show what you like! Also, please respect my efforts and the efforts of the event sponsors, and do not offer giveaways in your Quilt Festival post.

2.In your post, link back to the festival. You can do this with a button, just copy and paste the code into your post, if all else fails.

3.Share a permalink to your post, in the linky. Right click on your post title to copy link address, then paste it in the linky.

4.Leave me a comment to be entered in the giveaways.

5.Visit all the other quilters sharing their quilts and be inspired!

6.If you are on flickr, consider adding your entry to the Group Pool, it’s great to see all the quilts in the gallery!

Here is a picture of the 1st ever quilt that I designed and finished.  The fabric  is Old Blooms  by Pat Sloan and I named it Grandmas's Flowerpot.

Spring Quilt Market

Also Quilt Market is this weekend. For new quilters this is where designers, notion and fabric manufacturers showcase all their new products. Sandy and I went a few times and it is very exciting. I just loved having the chance to meet all the designers and  see all the future fabrics.   Here is a link to tons of photos that have been posted by FQS. Spring Quilt Market 2011

Tell me what are your favorite fabrics and which designers that you like best.
My favorite designers and fabrics always seem to be by Buggy Barn, Kansas Troubles, Jo Morton and Judie Rothermel. Leave a comment for a chance to win a charmpack. I have a few to give away. I'll end this Giveaway on Friday May 20th. midnight. Remember to leave an e-mail address so I can contact you.
Just added some Moda fabrics this week

Now I'm off to get some planting done before the rains come.  Have a great weekend.

I love Alexander Henry and the wacky prints they come up with. I am also finding myself in love with civil war reproductions.

I really love Fig Tree & Co. fabrics like their Strawberry Fields and Fresh Cottons. As well have been collecting Civil War reproductions - big fan of Kathleen Tracy.

I have two that are my favourites at the moment, Fig Tree, with Buttercup and Strawberry Fields and French General, with Maison de Garance and Pom Pom de Paris but maybe that's because I live in France! Thanks for the giveaway. Linda

I love anything by Denyse Schmidt. I am in love with her new Picnic line and still regret I didn't get more of Flea Market Fancy way back when!

I like the fabric done by Heather Mulder Petersen. (Hum, wonder if I spelled her name right.) Yet I don't think I own any of her fabrics but plenty of her books. Right now I am in love with the red, turquoise and black combo she is showing for her newest fabric. I may treat myself to a fat quarter of each of that line. For the most part I don't buy lines. I'd rather put my own colors together.

I think it must be the Blackbird Designs girls. Their quilts are really charming and their photography skills are excellent too! :)
